Project Overview
Beverly Boy Productions supported VOILA with a four-camera performance shoot in Belgium. The performance video production in Belgium called for two cameramen managing four distinct camera positions, creating multiple perspectives of the same performance for post-production.
The setup combined operated and fixed cameras positioned throughout the performance space. A Canon C300 Mark II covered the performance from front of house, while a Canon C70 on a DJI RS4 gimbal provided roving coverage. A second Canon C70 remained fixed on stage, and a DJI Osmo 4 captured a rear-facing angle.
After filming, footage from the four camera positions was brought together in post-production to create an edited multicam full set. This approach provided VOILA with a completed performance video that could move between the different recorded perspectives rather than relying on a single continuous camera angle.

Capturing a Live Performance from Four Perspectives
Performance filming presents a simple challenge: the action is happening in real time, so important moments need to be covered as they occur. For the VOILA shoot, Beverly Boy Productions approached this by assigning four cameras to different positions around the performance.
The front-of-house Canon C300 Mark II, paired with a Canon 70-200mm F2.8 lens, provided coverage from farther back. At the same time, the Canon C70 mounted on a DJI RS4 gave the roving cameraman a mobile setup. Combining a distant established position with a stabilized moving camera created different visual options without depending on one camera to capture everything.
The fixed Canon C70 on stage and DJI Osmo 4 backshot expanded that coverage further. These positions provided additional perspectives that could be used during the edit. With all four cameras recording the performance from different locations, post-production had multiple visual sources available when assembling the full set.
