The Milwaukee Underground Film Festival takes place annually, in the spring. Changes to the festival’s typical schedule, due to COVID-19, resulted in the festival being scheduled in the Fall for 2021. Filmmakers, artists, and film enthusiasts gather annually for the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival to enjoy independent, artist driven cinema and programming filmmakers in the underground industry throughout the Midwest.

The Milwaukee Underground Film Festival (MUFF) represents filmmakers defying the conventions of the everyday industry. And provide a unique aspect in presentation of new artistic forms.
The festival is a program that is supported by the Department of Film, Video, Animation and New Genres at the Peck School of the Arts located at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Underground Film Festival Submissions
Submitting an entry to the Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 Milwaukee Underground Film Festival is not yet open, however submissions details will open soon at the MUFF website.

- Honorable Mentions
Each year, the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival features a variety of works from local artists that represent independent filmmaking opportunities and unique art that is not like any other form of filmmaking in mainstream production.
