Sony, RED, and ARRI cinema packages are matched to the project’s format, lighting conditions, crew size, and delivery requirements. Professional lighting, sound, monitoring, and support equipment are added according to the setup.
Local Crew, National Reach
Miami-area camera, lighting, sound, grip, and production professionals are available, along with bilingual crew, union personnel, FAA Part 107-certified drone pilots, and national production support when required.
Permit and Location Coordination
We identify the office, agency, facility, or property manager responsible for each location and coordinate the necessary applications, insurance documents, parking requests, traffic plans, and police staffing.
What It Is Like to Film in Miami
Miami gives productions a combination of corporate interiors, waterfront settings, art districts, historic commercial streets, resort properties, and tropical outdoor locations. These environments support executive interviews, hospitality campaigns, commercials, conference coverage, real estate content, documentaries, and music videos.
The metro’s waterways, bridges, limited curb access, and seasonal weather can extend travel and setup times. Summer schedules should account for heat, lightning, and afternoon rain. Winter dates can face stronger demand for crews, hotels, and venues. Multi-location shoots work best with travel buffers, indoor alternatives, and confirmed loading plans.
Miami Filming Tips and Production Logistics
| Topic | Quick Advice |
| City of Miami Jurisdiction | Dense business and entertainment districts, along with Miami Beach, can have limited production parking and slower equipment access. Reserve essential vehicle spaces early and allow additional travel time for bridges, drawbridge openings, major events, and rush-hour traffic. |
| Application Lead Times | Submit standard City of Miami film applications at least three business days before the shoot. Productions involving street closures should apply at least seven business days ahead. Complex shoots may require additional review time. |
| Miami-Dade Permits | Film Miami currently lists a $150 application fee covering up to 28 filming days in the jurisdictions it manages. Property charges, police staffing, parking, security, and departmental services are billed separately when applicable. |
| Miami Beach Filming | Miami Beach does not charge a general Film and Print permit fee. Productions may still pay for meter rentals, off-duty officers, fire staffing, beach vehicle access, crew parking, or other city services. |
| Parking and Company Moves | Brickell, Downtown, Wynwood, and Miami Beach can have limited production parking and slow company moves. Reserve essential vehicle spaces early and allow extra travel time for bridges, drawbridge openings, major events, and rush-hour traffic. |
| Airport Locations | Commercial filming at Miami International Airport requires a Miami-Dade permit and coordination with the airport’s Special Events and Conference office. Security reviews, escorts, restricted-area access, and additional processing time may apply. |
| Heat and Storm Planning | Summer filming can bring intense heat, humidity, lightning, and heavy afternoon rain. Schedule exterior scenes earlier when practical, provide cooling and hydration, protect equipment, and identify an indoor backup location. |
| Location Sound | Aircraft, traffic, construction, nightlife, boats, and crowds can interfere with dialogue. Scout interview locations during the planned recording period and use controlled interiors for audio-sensitive scenes. |
| Drone Coordination | Review FAA airspace, temporary flight restrictions, property approval, takeoff and landing access, and pedestrian safety before confirming aerial filming. Some Miami locations may require additional authorization or a different launch site. |

As a business owner and music producer, I needed a quality production that would reflect the quality I deliver. In the past I had not so good experiences, so this time I met with MANY different companies before choosing Beverly Boy Productions. There entire team was very knowledgeable and I was blown away with the production quality. They kept me up to date with the progress that was being made with my video every step of the way! I was so satisfied that I even had them do a separate animated logo for me! I can’t wait to see it!

FAQs: Hiring a Videographer in Miami
How much does a videographer cost in Miami?
Our half-day, single-camera Miami productions generally range from $1,500 to $2,200, depending on the crew, equipment, location, and post-production requirements. Larger or multi-day projects involving additional crew, several locations, aerial filming, and full post-production may range from $12,000 to $20,000 or more.
Property fees, permits, production parking, police staffing, security, insurance requirements, travel, graphics, licensed music, bilingual talent, and expedited editing can change the total. We provide an itemized estimate so the scope can be adjusted before production begins. For national rate benchmarks across experience levels, see our videographer statistics report.
What types of videos do your Miami crews film most often?
Our Miami crews produce corporate communications, finance and technology content, tourism and hospitality campaigns, real estate videos, healthcare productions, fashion content, recruiting videos, executive interviews, bilingual campaigns, conference coverage, live streams, documentaries, and social content. Crew size and equipment are adjusted to the location, schedule, and delivery requirements.
How far in advance should I book?
A straightforward weekday production on private property should generally be scheduled two to three weeks ahead when possible. Although basic City of Miami applications may be submitted with three business days’ notice, additional planning protects crew, location, parking, and police availability.
Four to six weeks provides more flexibility for Miami Beach, street closures, several locations, bridges, airports, PortMiami, drone work, large crews, major events, and peak winter production dates.
Can you handle filming permits?
Yes. We identify the city, county department, property manager, transportation agency, or facility responsible for each location and coordinate the applicable approvals.
This may include a City of Miami film permit, Film Miami application, Miami Beach Film and Print permit, private-property agreement, insurance certificate, indemnity form, parking request, traffic-control plan, and off-duty police staffing.
A City of Miami permit does not cover Miami Beach, unincorporated Miami-Dade, separately incorporated cities, the airport, the port, state roads, or private property. Each address is checked before the schedule is confirmed.
Do you offer both ground and drone filming?
Yes. Ground crews use professional Sony, RED, and ARRI cinema systems selected according to the project. Aerial filming is handled by FAA Part 107-certified pilots using professional drone equipment.
Every proposed flight is reviewed for controlled airspace, FAA authorization, temporary flight restrictions, local airport boundaries, property permission, people on the ground, and safe takeoff and landing access. Approval depends on the precise coordinates, altitude, planned operation, and jurisdiction.
What should I budget extra for when filming in Miami?
Possible additional expenses include permit fees, private-location charges, production parking, meter rentals, valet arrangements, off-duty police, fire staffing, security escorts, airport or port access, insurance endorsements, and traffic-control plans.
Summer productions may need weather holds, indoor backup locations, additional cooling, hydration, or schedule flexibility. Drone work can add airspace review, officer staffing, aviation insurance, alternate-location scouting, and property coordination.
Major art fairs, music festivals, sporting events, conventions, and holiday weekends can tighten crew, parking, hotels, and location availability. Peak winter dates may also carry higher rates for crew, venues, transportation, and accommodations.
How much should a 3-minute video cost?
A three-minute video does not have one standard price because the finished duration represents only part of the production. Crew size, filming hours, locations, equipment, bilingual versions, aerial footage, graphics and editing requirements determine the final quote. We provide a line-item estimate after reviewing the project scope.
