Go Big

Delivering a keynote presentation at a major event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for some and an average, everyday occurrence for others. Whether you’re delivering your first keynote speech or your 100th, whether it’s taking place at a political conference or an industrial convention, the keynote sets the stage for the entire event and the underlying tone is critical to communicating your passion and dedication to the information to be shared during the rest of the presentation.

Capturing the keynote presentation on video is something most presenters strive for, and, with the support of a professional camera crew, keynote presentation video production becomes just another step of the process.

Keynote presentation video production includes the on-location filming of your keynote presentation and post-production editing to include appropriate branding, text-overlays, and graphics that will help your audience to recognize and connect your presentation with your brand.

Producing a keynote presentation video requires a multi-unit camera crew that attends the live-event and captures the keynote speech in person. B-roll footage is also captured at this time to ensure the final keynote presentation video is exactly what the client wants.

The keynote presentation video production process typically includes:

  • End-to-end workflow preparation of the camera crew and post-production editing crew that will create your keynote presentation video.
  •
  • A multi-unit camera crew that uses high-quality equipment to capture the keynote speech while it takes place during the live event.
  •
  • Post-production editing, text-overlays, and graphics added to the keynote presentation video for quality, audience engagement, and professionalism.

Keynote Presentation Video Production Steps

Just as you will prepare for your keynote speech, you must also prepare the camera crew for the presentation, allowing them ample time to scope the location and perform pre-production planning in advance of the shoot.

The keynote presentation video production process is made up of several steps or stages that are unique to most styles of live-action video production projects.

These steps include:

Pre-Production

During pre-production we’ll work with the client to determine the style and type of video that they desire. We’ll ask questions about the presentation context and whether the client wants the entire presentation filmed or just a particular portion or part.

During pre-production, details on the final video are also planned including whether the video will be made up of the entire speech or just clips from various key points of the presentation.

A location scout or the production crew themselves will visit the location of the keynote presentation in advance to determine camera setup, microphones, audio and lighting needs.

Production

During production of the keynote presentation video the camera crew will capture all of the appropriate video and audio that will later be used in the presentation video.

The team will shoot and record the audio and visual components of the speech. Appropriate lighting will be in place to ensure the keynote speaker is visible and appears without flaw on the camera.

Post-Production

In post-production the keynote presentation video will go through a series of editing steps in which the video files are synced with audio and pieced together to create the final keynote presentation video. Text overlays and other graphics or effects may be added depending on client wishes and the individual needs of the project.

Many keynote presentation videos will include the use of lower-thirds to provide additional details about the speaker, the speech, or other details about the event.
