Top 5 Beverly Boy Projects Produced By Lana McClung

As a producer for Beverly Boy Productions, Lana McClung has been involved in a variety of projects with clients large and small. She builds exceptionally strong relationships with each client she interacts with as she strives to produce work that both her client and she, can be proud of. Check out these top projects that she’s produced during her short 2.5 years at Beverly Boy Productions.

1. Dr. Phil

This consisted of about 6 or 7 total projects in which we were on location to capture basic details about the people that are featured on the Dr. Phil Show. Usually, Dr. Phil projects consist of a small crew, a VP, a Sound Opp, and someone from Hair and Makeup come together to shoot short interviews and some b-roll to capture the lives of those who are to be featured on the Dr. Phil episode. This project requires full-day shoots and often is requested on short-notice with 1 or 2 days to prepare, but Lana absolutely loves the feeling of accomplishment when she can watch finished projects.

2. Hormel

The Hormel project has spanned various locations worldwide including recent projects in St. Lucia and NYC. Hormel foods hired Beverly Boy Productions to do simple one-man-band style shoots or sometimes cinematography style shoots. Each time a project from Hormel comes up they ask for a similar setup but that’s not to say the projects are all the same. Lana has done a variety of projects for them including a company trip shoot, a day of giving, and an award show as well as a turkey giveaway around Thanksgiving time. She loves the variations of the work she does with Hormel and how friendly her contacts are there.

3. Canon Women in Film

The Women in Film shoot in January 2020 took place in NYC and featured 2 DP and a camera operator as well as a sound operator and lighting setup. She loves working for Canon for various reasons but mentions the personal connection as her mom works there as well. Lana jokingly tells her mom, “I’m working for you right now,” whenever she is involved with the Canon project. “Canon is always looking for high-end setups and I’m always happy to provide that for them.”

4. Fidelity Bank

A slightly different project, Lana’s work with Fidelity Bank was more editing and motion graphics but she loved it nonetheless and appreciated her ability to work more closely with the post-production editing team and utilize her creativity in the finished results of the Fidelity Bank project. She was happy to have a say in the finished product more than when she’s producing typical video footage and says, “it’s one of the most creative ways I get to interact. I love this type of project where I can interact and give input on the finishing touches.”

5. Pro 1 Media

Producing surgery videos for Pro 1 Media features a one-man-band and camera audio. Each video is set up in different ways but most shoots utilize an external recorder that plugs into a medical device such as a laparoscopy or an ultrasound machine to capture the footage. Lana says, “these are fun to work on and I’ve really gotten a hang of it.” Overhead angles and the utilization of various equipment including mini-cameras makes these types of films more interesting.

6. American Society of Plastic Surgeons

This project featured talking headshots with different doctors or clients that have worked with the doctors. Each talks about the experience and we basically captured the headshots and interviews. “I love doing corporate videos and talking headshots like this,” Lana mentions as she recalls her enjoyment of learning about everything that the videos require. Another exciting day as a producer for Beverly Boy Productions.
